1 Prepare – Find a sunny spot and place your biodegradable pot on a tray or plate

2️ Expand the Soil – Add water to the soil pellet and watch it expand. Fluff it up with your fingers

3 Plant the Seeds – Sprinkle the seeds evenly over the soil and gently press them in

4️ Water & Care – Lightly water your seeds and keep the soil moist (but not too wet). Place the pot in a sunny area

5 Watch it Grow! – With a little patience and care, your tiny garden will begin to sprout! 

6 Transfer (Optional) – Once the plant is strong enough, you can transfer it (pot and all) into a garden bed or a larger pot. The biodegradable pot will naturally break down in the soil.

Water & Label – Give your beans a good drink of water and stick the wooden label in the pot to keep track of your Purple Queen beans

Find the Ideal Spot – Place your pot in full sun to ensure your beans get plenty of light

Watch for Sprouts – In 7-10 days, little green shoots will appear, and soon you'll have a bounty of purple beans to enjoy!

No support required – These beans grow well without trellises, but it's best to protect them from strong winds.

Heavy yields – Expect an abundance of glossy purple beans. Pick the pods when they are young and tender for the best flavour.

Growing Tips:

Ideal for pots & cut flowers – These compact sunflowers grow up to 25cm tall and produce multiple blooms.

Full sun is essential – The more sun, the better the flowers! However, keep an eye on them in the Aussie summer on those 40-degree days—they may need some extra water or shade.

Annual flowering – Enjoy their beauty for the season and replant for more sunshine in your garden!
